We are always asked "Why don't you sell luthier blanks?". Well, we tried to build our
business around luthiers, cabinet makers, and hobbyists. Unfortunately if I cut the
boards into short "blanks", I just alienated the other 2/3's of my customers.
This spectacular 1" thick load that just came out of the kiln is so nice we thought we
would give this luthier page a shot.
We are able to substantially undercut the competition with these blanks. There are no
multiple mark ups as they change hands many times over. These come from the
sawmill, to my kiln, to you, no middlemen!
Each item below is the actual piece(s) you are buying. No more sending a big check to
your luthier supplier requesting their master grade and hoping that is what you get.
With ours, what you see is what you get.
Please note on the book matched sets that the saw kerf at the mill eats 1/4" between
the boards. They may not be an absolute perfect match, but are extremely close. Look
at the pictures and you decide. I think you will like them.
All S4S and Flat sawn.

yesterday. It looks really nice. Thanks for
the extra piece, I will find a good use for
it, but it won't be thrown at the TV. I don't
get as emotional about the Browns as I did
when I was a kid. I find I am less likely to
be disappointed that way. Our day will
come. Good luck dealing with all the
Pittsburgh fans. A wordworking friend of
mine a few years ago suggested I let my
mother in law's comments roll off my back
"like water on the back of a duck". She is
easier to deal with now that I don't pay too
much attention to what she says, and I
